One meat, two sides, feeds 8–10
Our holiday package is built to land on a table without any further work from you. It is the same food we cook every day of the year, scaled up for a family gathering and packed to travel.
Holiday Special — $175
1 meat + 2 sides. Includes bread and cranberry sauce. Feeds 8–10 people.
Meat is your choice of turkey with dressing, baked ham, or chicken. Price is subject to change for substitutions.
If the package is not quite right, we will build something that is. Anything from the regular menu can be cooked in quantity, so you can add extra sides, more dessert, or a second meat for a larger crowd.
Holiday favourites by the pan
Turkey & dressing
The centrepiece most families ask for. Cornbread dressing, cooked the traditional way, with the turkey carved and ready.
Baked ham
An easier option if you want something that slices cleanly and holds well on a table for a few hours.
Mac & cheese
Baked with a browned crust. The side most likely to run out first at any gathering we have ever catered.
Greens
Turnip or collard, cleaned by hand and simmered down. A holiday table in the South is not complete without them.
Candied sweet potatoes
Cooked down until the syrup thickens around them. Sweet enough that some households treat them as dessert.
Cobbler & banana pudding
Peach cobbler baked in the pan and old-fashioned banana pudding, both available in catering quantities.
Holiday terms
Three days minimum
All catering needs at least three days’ notice. For holidays, expect the real cut-off to be considerably earlier.
50% deposit
Half the total is due at least two days before collection to hold your slot.
Cash and cards
No checks. No refunds once the order is in the kitchen.
Collection only
Orders are packed for pick up at 937 Locklayer Street at an agreed time.
Getting holiday food home in good shape
A few things worth knowing, learned from a lot of holiday orders.
Collect as late as you sensibly can. Everything is packed hot. The shorter the gap between our kitchen and your table, the better it will be.
Bring more room than you think. Catering pans are larger than people expect. A holiday order for ten will take up a boot, not a back seat footwell.
Reheat covered, low and slow. If you need to warm anything through, cover it with foil and use a moderate oven. Mac & cheese and dressing in particular dry out badly under high heat.
Tell us about timing. If you are serving at two, say so when you order. We will schedule the cooking around your collection time rather than ours.
